Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am – 12:00pm
Overtime: Available during busy periods
CNC Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company for a Machine Setter / Production Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to join a busy production environment, working with a wide range of industrial machinery to manufacture high-quality stainless steel components.
The Role
As a Machine Setter / Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of industrial machinery while ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved. You will also oversee the work produced by operators using machinery you have set up, ensuring safe and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a range of production equipment, including:
- Auto saws
- Guillotines
- Brake presses
- Tube bending machinery
- Manufacture stainless steel tubular, wire, and fabricated steel components to a high standard.
- Ensure products meet quality specifications and production deadlines.
- Supervise production processes and support operators working on machinery you have prepared.
- Carry out routine maintenance of tools and equipment in line with company procedures.
- Assist with additional manufacturing duties, including wire work, assembly, and power press operations as required.
- Promote safe working practices and maintain an organised production environment.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience setting and operating manufacturing machinery.
- Supervisory or team-leading experience within a production environment.
- A mechanical engineering background (highly desirable).
- Experience operating NC-controlled machinery would be advantageous (programming experience is not essential).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work accurately while meeting production deadlines.
- A proactive approach to maintaining equipment and supporting continuous production improvements.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to assist across different manufacturing processes.
