Machine Technician in Pulborough, West Sussex

We are looking for an experienced Machinery Technician to join a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out encapsulation, sealing and preparation processes on a range of manufactured assemblies, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role suited to someone with good attention to detail and experience working with machinery and mechanical assembly processes.

The Role

• Carry out encapsulation, sealing and priming of assemblies.
• Follow manufacturing procedures, drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Operate and monitor encapsulation equipment and associated machinery.
• Carry out routine checks, cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with the maintenance of associated production equipment, including filters and extraction systems.
• Plan and manage workload in line with production requirements.
• Complete relevant production paperwork and documentation.
• Raise non-conformance and rework records where required.
• Ensure products are manufactured to the required quality and workmanship standards.
• Follow relevant ESD procedures and manufacturing controls.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Support continuous improvement activities and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Work independently while also contributing effectively as part of the wider production team.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Experience operating machinery and production equipment.

Understanding of mechanical assembly processes and procedures.

Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.

Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and BOMs.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

A willingness to learn new processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

Experience within an encapsulation, resin, coating or similar manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
