We're recruiting a Machining Cell Leader to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a skilled machining team, improve production performance, and play a key role in delivering high-quality components within a modern manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and support a team of machinists to achieve quality, delivery and production targets
- Plan daily workloads and coordinate production priorities with planning and purchasing teams
- Monitor machining operations, resolve production issues, and keep work flowing efficiently
- Coach, train and develop team members while promoting a positive working culture
- Ensure materials, tooling and documentation are ready for production
- Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives
- Support root cause investigations and work closely with Quality to resolve manufacturing issues
- Track performance, maintain production records and help improve manufacturing processes
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience leading or supervising a machining team
- Strong machining background within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Excellent understanding of CNC machining processes and production planning
- Experience improving manufacturing performance and solving production problems
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Desirable:
- Experience within a low-volume, high-precision manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or 5S
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a completed engineering apprenticeship
- Leadership or management qualification
