Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a well-established and growing engineering and machinery manufacturing business based in Doncaster.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Press Brake Operator, CNC Press Brake Operator or Machine Operator with a background in metalwork, fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating and programming machinery to produce components accurately to specification. You will work with a range of manufacturing equipment including press brakes, saws and laser machinery, ensuring finished components meet the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate press brake machinery
- Take accurate measurements and mark materials ready for cutting, forming and shaping
- Plan the correct sequence of operations required to complete each job
- Select the appropriate machinery, tooling and processes
- Load and position materials correctly
- Set and programme batch sizes and machine speeds
- Monitor machinery throughout the manufacturing process and make adjustments when required
- Inspect finished components against specifications and identify any defects
- Use precision measuring equipment to ensure components are produced accurately
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- Work safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and housekeeping
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating Press Brake machinery
- Experience setting and/or programming Press Brake machinery would be highly advantageous
- Experience operating manual, semi-automatic or automated manufacturing machinery
- Background within sheet metal, fabrication, engineering or manufacturing
- Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and technical manuals
- Confident using precision measuring equipment
- Good understanding of metals and material properties
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong manual dexterity
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Understanding of workshop health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
