Maintenance Assistant

Salary: £32,000 + Approx. £5,500 Annual Tronc

Are you a hands-on maintenance professional looking to join one of the UK's leading luxury hotels? We are recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to become part of the engineering team at a prestigious 5-star hotel, where exceptional standards and guest satisfaction are at the heart of everything.

• Salary of £32,000 per year
• Approximately £5,500 annual tronc, increasing your overall earnings

Responsibilities of Maintenance assistant

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance throughout the hotel
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, painting and decorating, and carpentry repairs
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel departments
• Assist with preventative maintenance schedules
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
• Report faults and escalate larger repairs where necessary
• Maintain plant rooms, public areas, guest bedrooms, and back-of-house facilities
• Support contractors when required
• Keep accurate maintenance records

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role
• Good all-round knowledge of building maintenance
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
• Friendly, professional manner with a strong focus on guest service
• Experience within hotels or hospitality would be advantageous but is not essential
