Centaur Housing Association is seeking a highly organised and proactive Maintenance & Compliance Co-ordinator to join our expanding team in Chorley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in property maintenance, compliance and housing management to develop their career within a supportive and growing organisation.
Working closely with the Maintenance & Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our supported living properties remain safe, compliant and well-maintained, while delivering excellent service to tenants, contractors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate repairs, maintenance and compliance works across our property portfolio.
- Manage contractor appointments and arrange access with tenants and support staff.
- Monitor and maintain compliance records, certifications and databases.
- Support the management of statutory compliance, including fire safety, gas safety, legionella, PAT testing, asbestos management and specialist inspections.
- Raise purchase orders, obtain quotations and liaise with contractors and suppliers.
- Act as a key point of contact for tenants, contractors, support providers and colleagues.
- Support the day-to-day management of the FixFlo repairs and maintenance system.
- Assist with housing management administration and property upkeep programmes.
- Help ensure all properties remain compliant with relevant legislation and health & safety requirements.
- Participate in a shared out-of-hours on-call rota, providing telephone support and triaging maintenance issues when required. No attendance is required, and additional remuneration is provided for this responsibility.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
✅ Strong administration and IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
✅ Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
✅ The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
✅ Strong communication skills with the confidence to deal with a variety of stakeholders.
✅ A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
✅ Experience within housing, property, facilities management, compliance, maintenance coordination or repairs administration (desirable).
✅ GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
