Branta Recruitment is partnering with a market-leading, national Facilities Management company to recruit a Static Maintenance Electrician to join the resident engineering team at a prestigious, large-scale commercial facility in Newcastle upon Tyne.

This role offers the stability of working at a single, high-spec commercial site without the hassle of regional travel or mobile commuting. As the resident Electrical Specialist, you will ensure all power distribution, lighting systems, and electrical plant remain safe, fully operational, and compliant with current wiring regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and rapid reactive repairs across all site electrical systems.

  • Inspect, maintain, and fault-find on 3-phase and single-phase power distribution, emergency lighting, containment, and control panels.

  • Complete minor electrical installation works, system modifications, and routine compliance testing.

  • Maintain digital compliance logs, asset records, and certification in line with BS 7671 standards.

  • Oversee specialist electrical sub-contractors on site and review RAMS prior to work execution.

  • Work collaboratively alongside resident mechanical and plumbing engineers to maintain continuous site operations.

  • Participate in a site-specific emergency call-out rota (additional allowance provided).

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or time-served equivalent).

  • City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).

  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing certification (highly desirable).

  • Proven track record in commercial electrical maintenance or building services FM.

  • Strong working knowledge of health & safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and safe isolation procedures.

  • Professional, client-facing demeanor with excellent communication skills.
