FMSS Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading facilities management company to recruit an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a genuine work-life balance. You'll work just four days per week while being paid a full-time salary, giving you an extra day off every week without sacrificing your earnings. There are no extended shifts—just a smarter working pattern.

Covering commercial contracts across the Central Belt, you'll be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a varied portfolio of client sites.

The Role

As a Mobile Maintenance Electrician, you'll work across a range of commercial properties carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and testing to ensure client assets remain fully operational and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems.
• Attend reactive maintenance callouts and fault-finding activities.
• Complete electrical repairs and minor installation works.
• Undertake fixed wire testing and electrical inspections.
• Carry out testing and inspection of electrical installations where qualified.
• Diagnose faults and recommend remedial works.
• Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with current regulations.
• Build positive relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in the on-call rota.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician with a strong background in commercial building maintenance.

Essential

• Qualified Electrician.
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Experience with fixed wire testing.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Desirable

• Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Previous experience within Facilities Management or Building Services.
