Up to £50,000 | Monday–Friday | No Call-Out | Single-Site Role

Looking for a Monday–Friday role with no call-out and the chance to take ownership of a prestigious site in Central London?

We're recruiting a Maintenance Electrician to join the on-site team at at a high end university building. Working alongside the Site Manager and Contract Support, you'll help maintain a modern university building, ensuring it remains safe, compliant and operating efficiently.

With refurbishment works currently taking place, you'll initially be responsible for three floors of the seven-storey building, making this a varied but manageable role with plenty of autonomy.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary up to £50,000
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • No call-out rota
  • Minimal overtime
  • Single-site role in Central London
  • Work alongside an experienced Site Manager and Contract Support
  • Bank Holiday worked in August due to student intake – with time off in lieu provided

The Role

You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the building, ensuring all plant and building services remain fully operational.

Typical duties include:

  • General electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Fire alarm and emergency lighting checks
  • Sprinkler system testing
  • Generator inspections and routine checks
  • Fault finding and first-line repairs
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Routine plant inspections and statutory compliance checks
  • General building maintenance and fabric repairs
  • Supporting contractors and ensuring works are completed safely

This is a quieter site, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, uses their initiative and can proactively identify maintenance tasks rather than waiting for jobs to come in.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a commercial building
  • Electrical or mechanical qualifications
  • Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with the client and contractors
