Our client, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions is hiring for a Maintenance Electrician to join our East Midlands Railway facilities management team, supporting a diverse range of stations and operational buildings across the region. This mobile role offers the opportunity to work across a varied estate, helping to maintain safe, compliant, and reliable environments that support passengers, customers, and colleagues every day.

Working across the East Midlands network, you'll deliver planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on a wide range of building services and infrastructure. With the support of an experienced engineering team, you'll enjoy a varied workload, autonomy in managing your day, and the satisfaction of making a visible impact across multiple sites where no two days are the same.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs across railway stations and associated buildings.
  • Carry out fault finding, testing, and diagnostics on a wide range of electrical systems.
  • Complete electrical inspections and compliance checks to maintain safe operating environments.
  • Service and repair lighting systems, sockets, switches, and distribution boards.
  • Perform emergency lighting testing, maintenance, and remedial works.
  • Undertake minor electrical installations, rewiring, and improvement works.
  • Carry out PAT testing and maintain accurate records of completed work.
  • Support minor plumbing, mechanical, and fabric maintenance activities when required.
  • Update job information, compliance documentation, and maintenance records using handheld devices and CAFM systems.
  • Work safely and professionally within public-facing railway environments.

What we're looking for

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
  • ECS or JIB Gold Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working within commercial maintenance or facilities management environments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload effectively.
  • Confident using handheld technology and CAFM systems for reporting tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Proactive mindset with the flexibility to travel across the East Midlands region.
