Salary - £42,000 to £45,000 (DOE)
Location – Blackwood / Newport
Shift Pattern – 3 Shifts – Earlies, Lates and Nights (Monday to Friday)

The Role
The Electrical Technician will help maximise the department machines’ output and maintain the manufacturing processes as well as work with team members to continuously improve manufacturing performance, on occasion leading by example or managing the team to resolve issues.
Other responsibilities includes but not limiting to;
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on site machinery and equipment, primarily on Mechanical components
- Support improvements in equipment reliability and operational efficiency
- Analyse machinery performance data and implement corrective actions where required
- Assist in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities across the site
- Ensure Electrical engineering activities are completed in line with health, safety, quality, and technical standards
- Work collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise performance
The Candidate
To be considered and successful for the role, you must have, but not limiting to;
- Time-served Electrical or NVQ Level 3 Engineering Qualification or equivalent in ideally Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation
- Previous experience within FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment including Food, Packaging, Manufacturing etc
- Ability to read Electrical Schematics/drawings
- Strong Electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Proactive approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Team orientated/ collaborative
- Able to operate & take decisions independently where necessary
