Maintenance Engineer (Days)

Location: Aylesford, Kent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Starting Salary: £45,000 P/A + Overtime

The Business

Auxtronic is partnered with a well-established FMCG manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and operational excellence.

Based at their state-of-the-art Aylesford facility, you'll work within a highly automated manufacturing environment alongside a skilled engineering team.

Machinery includes: Conveyors, Mixers, Ovens, Separators, Sorters, Vision Inspection Machines, X-Rays, Packaging Machinery, Case Makers, Palletisers, Flow Wrappers, Robots, and other bespoke automation systems.

The Role: Maintenance Engineer

  • Perform breakdown maintenance including fault finding and rectification on high-speed automated machinery.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Support with facilities maintenance and general site upkeep.
  • Lead and assist on project installations involving both mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Oversee contractor control and management to maintain site safety and quality standards.

Entry Requirements

  • Qualifications: City & Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance, ideally gained through a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Experience: 5+ years as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a high-speed manufacturing environment (Food or FMCG preferred).
  • Skills: Proven electrical and mechanical competency in fault finding and repairing automated production machinery.
