Maintenance Engineer (Days)
Location: Dewsbury, West Yorkshire
Salary: £34,777 – £39,249 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (37.5 hours)

The Company
A well-established textile manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a permanent days-based role supporting a busy manufacturing operation, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure maximum production uptime.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing equipment.
- Mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
- Responding to production breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
- Supporting machinery upgrades and installation projects.
- Working on pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Completing maintenance documentation using the CMMS system.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to reduce downtime.
- Working closely with production to improve machine reliability.
The Candidate
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills with electrical knowledge.
- Experience within manufacturing, production or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyor systems.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification (preferred but not essential).
