We’re hiring a proactive and reliable engineer to join a dynamic and growing team at a leading UK food manufacturer. This is your opportunity to play a key role in keeping a world-class production facility running at its best.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of food production machinery
- Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns to reduce downtime
- Working closely with production teams to maintain peak operational performance
- Supporting continuous improvement and factory development projects
- Assisting with equipment installation and commissioning
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with food safety and hygiene standards
- Experience in a maintenance engineering role – food or FMCG background ideal
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills (including pneumatics and hydraulics)
- A proactive, can-do attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts and support production as needed
- Engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or similar) desirable, but practical experience equally valued
- Competitive salary up to £46k and benefits package
- Full-time, permanent role 4 on/off days 6/6 - 7/7
