Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer, Ealing, London
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights), Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team at a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in Ealing.

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will support, maintain, and improve production and packing line equipment, ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on manufacturing machinery.
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of production and packing lines.
Minimise downtime through effective fault finding and root cause analysis.
Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance and reduce breakdowns.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
We are specifically seeking apprentice-trained, mechanically biased maintenance engineers with experience in the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
The successful Maintenance Engineer should have approximately:
·60% Mechanical experience
·40% Electrical experience
Minimum Electrical Competencies
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
Knowledge of Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) process and clearly understand why it is essential for safe maintenance.
Fault-find electrical systems down to component level.
Safely and accurately measure electrical resistance.
Correctly wire a three-phase motor in both Star and Delta configurations.
Mechanical Competencies
As a true Mechanical Bias Engineer, you should also be fully competent in:
Mechanical fault finding and repair.
Bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts, conveyors and drive systems.
Pneumatics and hydraulics.
