We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a strong Mechanical Bias to join our clients manufacturing site in Blackburn.
The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing background and is strong with hydraulics and able to read and interpret hydraulic drawings. You will be working as part of a wider Engineering Team to maintain machinery on site, supporting machine set ups and improving cycle times. An understanding of injection and blow moulding machinery is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of machinery on site.
- Diagnose and fault-find, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
- Support machine changeovers, tool changes and continuous improvement activity
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety procedures
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately
- Apprentice-trained or time-served Maintenance Engineer with a minimum Level 3 qualification
- Experience working on injection and blow moulding machines would be an advantage
- Mechanical background
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Proactive, flexible and a strong team player

- Panama Shift DAYS 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off
- Early finish on a Friday
