CNC Maintenance Engineer
Location: Mansfield
Salary: £30.00 per hour + Shift Premium 


Overview
EMBS Talent is working in partnership with a well-established precision engineering business, based in the Derby area, that is currently looking for a CNC Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a hands-on maintenance role within a busy machine shop environment, working across a range of CNC equipment. Our client is looking for someone who can keep machines running reliably, respond quickly to breakdowns, and support the wider team in driving ongoing improvements to how the shop floor operates.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Carrying out fault finding, problem solving, and planned and preventative maintenance across all CNC machines
  • Working under your own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Minimising machine downtime through prompt and effective repairs
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities across the site


Schedule
Shift pattern: 3-week rotation of Days, Afters and Nights

  • Days: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am to 12:00pm
  • Afters: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm to 10:00pm, Friday 1:00pm to 8:00pm
  • Nights: Monday to Wednesday, 8:00pm to 6:00am, Thursday 8:00pm to 5:00am

Successful Applicants Must Be Able To Demonstrate

  • Experience across a variety of CNC control systems and machine types
  • Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
  • Experience repairing gearboxes, ball screws, pumps and motors
  • Experience with 5-axis machine alignment
  • An understanding of PLC ladder logic
  • Completion of a relevant apprenticeship and an engineering qualification equivalent to Level 3
  • A solid engineering background within the machine tool industry
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC maintenance
  • Good knowledge of HSE regulations
