Maintenance Engineer– Plastics – Mechanical Bias

Location: North Thoresby

Salary: £42,000 _ £45,000 + Overtime + Pension + Bens

Shift Pattern: 4 on 3 off moving to 4 on 4 off.

The Company

My client is processor/manufacturer within its field of plastic recycling. The company is a well established producer to the global markets, having 8 recycling sites across the UK. The Corby site is looking once again to expand due to further investment, within this globally secure organisation.

Key Skills

• Apprentice Trained Engineer in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience of PLC systems & Automated machinery
• Understanding of PPM Systems

The Role

You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in mechanical engineering and have experience being an engineer ideally with multi-skilled knowledge in an FMCG environment.  

On a day to day basis you will be working on bearings, belts, shafts, gearboxes, pumps and valves.  

Electrical wise working on PLC controlled machinery, motors, drives, variable speed, contactors, control panels.

In addition you will work with Pellets sort machines, shredders, granulators, mechanical loop driers, hot water tower wash systems, wind sifters, flake & polymer sorters.
