Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer looking for a role where no two days are the same? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of equipment across two production sites.

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting maintenance activities across sites in North Shields and South Shields. This is a varied position where the Maintenance Engineer will travel between both locations, carrying out a mix of preventative planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support to keep operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out reactive maintenance and fault finding to minimise downtime.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance activities across both sites.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment faults.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company standards.
- Travel between the North Shields and South Shields sites as required.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical maintenance experience.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple sites.
- Full UK driving licence.
