We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FMCG Manufacturer based in North Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced engineers to join a well-established manufacturer, operating in a high-speed, high-volume environment. These roles are essential to maintaining production performance and driving continuous improvements across the site, working on a 2 days 2 nights 4 off rotation.

Maintenance Engineer

Shift: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 off

Salary - £49,000-£54,000

Location - North Lincolnshire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs across electrical and mechanical systems to minimise production downtime
  • Take a hands-on approach in both scheduled maintenance and immediate breakdown response
  • Maintain, optimise, and repair a range of equipment including slicing systems, seasoning units, conveyors, and automated packaging lines
  • Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives to increase machine efficiency and reduce unplanned stoppages
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure smooth running of equipment and minimal disruption
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and internal maintenance procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong hands-on experience working with both electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing or production setting
  • Experience in a similar role (such as multi skilled engineer, electrical maintenance engineer, shift engineer, shift technician, maintenance technician)
  • Relevant engineering qualification - such as NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC/HND or equivalent apprenticeship
  • Practical knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting automated machinery - particularly in packaging or food processing environments (preferred but not essential)
  • Confidence in reacting to breakdowns as well as carrying out preventative maintenance tasks
