We're recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team looking after the newly redeveloped New Covent Garden site in Battersea.
This is a varied building services role, carrying out planned maintenance, reactive repairs and basic fault finding across electrical, mechanical and general building fabric systems. The majority of the work is planned maintenance, with plenty of overtime available if you want to increase your earnings. There is also an on-call rota (1 in 2), although call-outs are minimal due to the age and reliability of the site.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
- Responding to reactive maintenance tasks across the site
- Basic electrical maintenance and fault finding
- Replacing lamps, sockets, switches and other electrical components
- Mechanical maintenance on pumps, motors, AHUs and FCUs
- General building fabric repairs including doors, locks, ceilings and minor plumbing
- Compliance checks and statutory maintenance
- Updating maintenance records using the CAFM system
- Supporting the wider engineering team to ensure the site remains fully operational
What We're Looking For
Experience working within commercial building maintenance or facilities management
A recognised engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services)
18th Edition would be advantageous but not essential
Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
Comfortable working across a variety of building services systems
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
A professional, client-facing approach
Whether you're an Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a broader role, a Mechanical Engineer with general building maintenance experience, or a Multi-Skilled Engineer wanting to work on a modern commercial site, we'd love to hear from you.
