Impact Recruitment are currently working with an established manufacturing business looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their injection moulding workshop. This is a hands-on position supporting the maintenance of moulding machines and their associated ancillaries, along with some general building maintenance. Full training and development will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone early in their engineering career.
Location: Corby
Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:30
Salary: £38,000-£40,000
Contract: Permanent
Duties:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across injection moulding machinery
- Maintain and repair associated ancillary equipment within the mould shop
- Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Maintain and fault-find pumps and associated equipment
- Assist with robotics and automated machinery
- Support with general mechanical maintenance throughout the site
- Carry out general building maintenance where required
- Assist with machine setting and adjustments where appropriate
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and paperwork
- Work closely with the wider engineering and production teams
- Follow all relevant health & safety procedures
The ideal candidate must:
- Have a relevant engineering qualification
- Have some practical engineering or maintenance experience
- Be confident working in a hands-on, physical environment
- Have an interest in machinery, mechanical systems and maintenance
- Ideally have some exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps or robotics
- Be willing to learn and develop their engineering skills
- Have good written and spoken English, as accurate maintenance records are required
- Be a strong team player with a positive attitude
- Be comfortable working independently when required
Desirable:
- Injection moulding experience
- Previous machine setting experience
- Experience with automated machinery or robotics
- Knowledge of hydraulic or pneumatic systems
- Previous manufacturing or production environment experience
