Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across high-speed production and packaging machinery

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime

• Lead and support root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurring equipment failures

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve plant reliability and performance

• Complete pre- and post-maintenance inspections to ensure equipment operates to the highest standards

• Support lubrication programmes and preventative maintenance strategies

• Coach production teams on autonomous maintenance activities and equipment care

• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system

• Promote high engineering standards, 5S and best practice across the department

• Work closely with production and operational teams to maximise equipment availability

Skills & Qualifications of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Apprentice-trained engineer with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification

• Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled maintenance background

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or automated production environments

• Experience using CMMS systems

• Knowledge of SCADA systems advantageous

• Proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement

• Strong communication and team-working skills

• Quarterly performance bonus (£325 - £750)
