This is a secure, permanent role offering great earning potential, consistent hours and an excellent long-term career path.
The Role & Shift Pattern:
This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring strong flexibility. You will work an average of 40 to 45 hours per week on a Monday-to-Friday rotation. The primary shifts are 5:00am – 2:00pm and 9:00am – 6:00pm, but you must be fully flexible to accommodate early starts, late finishes or extended hours to support breakdown cover and production needs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs on complex production machinery.
- Diagnosing and fault-finding on both mechanical and electrical systems across the factory floor.
- Ensuring all manufacturing and packaging lines run at optimal efficiency with minimal downtime.
- Working closely with production teams to safely modify, upgrade, and install equipment.
- Documenting maintenance logs accurately and adhering to strict site safety and food manufacturing standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Multi-Skilled Capability: Strong hands-on experience in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Industry Experience: Previous maintenance work within a food production, FMCG, or similar high-volume manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
- Qualifications: Formal engineering certificates or electrical qualifications are an advantage, but proven hands-on experience and a strong technical skill set are highly valued.
- Flexibility: A genuine willingness to adapt to changing shift patterns, late finishes, or early starts when production demands it.
- Transport: Due to the shifting hours and site location, your own reliable transport is essential.
What’s On Offer:
- Competitive hourly rate from £19.00 to £23.00 per hour (DOE).
- High earning potential with an average of 40 to 45 hours per week paid.
- Stable, permanent Monday-to-Friday schedule.
- Opportunity to work with a supportive, growing production business.
