Motiontech designs, installs, and maintains intelligent automation and material handling systems for major UK retail and logistics businesses. Their engineering teams keep high-availability, high-performance automated distribution operations running around the clock. It's hands-on, technically demanding work,  and the investment in people matches the investment in kit.

You'll join an established maintenance team on-site in Hinckley, keeping cutting-edge automated material handling systems running at peak performance. Day to day, you'll split your time between planned preventative work and reactive fault-finding — with the tools, systems, and team around you to do both properly.

You will:

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance across automated material handling systems
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly, diagnosing and resolving faults to minimise downtime
  • Fault-find on electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and automated handling systems
  • Use the CMMS to log maintenance activity and track performance data

What you'll bring

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering
  • Proven maintenance experience in logistics, automation, FMCG, or manufacturing
  • Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems
  • Hands-on experience with conveyors, drives, gearboxes, and pneumatics
  • Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends

Useful, not essential:

  • Experience with CMMS platforms
  • Previous work in a high-speed automated logistics environment
  • Exposure to robotics or advanced sortation systems
