Position : Maintenance Engineer
Location : Wadebridge, Cornwall

Hours of Work : Monday to Friday days only with a midday finish on Friday
Salary : £45,600
Annual Leave : 25 days plus 8 bank holidays PLUS shutdown at Christmas - total 36/37 days

No two days are alike, and the tasks and work that you will get involved in are different everyday. The Maintenance Team consists of 2 people, so being able to be flexible and work closely with a colleague is paramount

Much of the production machinery is bespoke, and being honest is getting on a bit in years. Spare parts and replacements are often not available and have to be made in house. The equipment is however very well maintained and breakdowns are uncommon. Most of the work is focused on preventative maintenance.

What will you bring to the table ?

• You will probably be apprentice trained, ideally in electrical engineering or very similar
• You will definitely need some electrical knowledge, and 18th edition certification is very much preferred. Experience with single phase and three phase power supplies up to 415v is essential
• Experience of preventative maintenance procedures is preferred
• You will also need to be handy on the mechanical front and skills using the following will be utilised on a regular basis to make replacement parts for bespoke machinery
  • manual milling
  • manual turning
  • basic welding and fabrication
  • standard hand tools
• The ability to read engineering drawings is essential, and any abilities to produce basic CAD drawings is extremely beneficial
• Willingness to get involved with the maintenance of the facility ; this may involve changing light bulbs, basic joinery (eg replacing doors) and other "handyman" type activities.
