Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

A superb opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a supportive and collaborative engineering team within a busy manufacturing site. The company prides itself on a positive working culture where teamwork and mutual respect are at the centre of daily operations.

You will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, responding to breakdowns, completing planned preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site machinery. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their technical skills and progress their career within a stable and growing manufacturing business.

You will work closely with the wider engineering and production teams to minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability and ensure the site continues to operate safely and efficiently.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

· Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
· Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced industrial factory.
· Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability.
· Experience working on automated production machinery and industrial equipment.
· Ability to diagnose faults quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime.

Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

· Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
· Level 3 Electrical qualification.
· Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
· Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
· Ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team.
· Strong understanding of health and safety within an industrial environment.
· Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

Desirable Requirements for the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

· Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in the UK.
· Experience working with PLCs, ideally being able to fault-find using inputs and outputs.
· Experience working with automated production machinery.
· Experience with sensors, motors, drives, conveyors and control systems.
· Experience with continuous improvement and reducing machinery downtime.
· Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
