Maintenance Engineer in Perthy, Shropshire

We’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a long-established manufacturing business based in Shropshire, operating on a large-scale supplying their products across the UK. 

You will be working at a 37- manufacturing site with around 90 employees, and they are looking to expand their maintenance operations x2. As an electrically bias maintenance engineer, you'll be carrying out electrical maintenance across a range of heavy industrial production machinery, fault-finding on motors, sensors, control panels, drives and PLC-controlled systems. You'll respond to breakdowns, complete planned preventative maintenance and work proactively to improve equipment reliability and minimise production downtime 

The role at the moment is straight days but will be moving to a double day shift in the future. 

Maintenance Engineer Benefits:

Maintenance Engineer Duties include:

• Planned and preventive maintenance. 
• Reactive breakdown maintenance. 
• Fault finding on electrical systems. 
• Maintaining heavy machinery, conveyors and automated processing equipment. 
• PLC fault finding. 
• Promote health and safety throughout the site. 

Maintenance Engineer Requirements include: 

• Ideally apprentice trained. 
• Electrical Qualifications. 
• Electrical fault finding and ability to read drawings. 
• Experience working with drives, motors, encoders and sensors. 
• PLC experience (beneficial) 
• Pneumatics.
