Maintenance Engineer

Our marine client requires a Shore based Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Liverpool.  As a Shore based Maintenance Engineer you will support the Technical Manager in ensuring the safe operation of vessels within the businesses Pilot Boat service contract.  

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

• You must have served time as a Marine Engineer, Plant Engineer, 4th Engineer or equivalent.
• Flexibility of working hours to participate in an on-call rota with availability required every third week.
• You must have a full UK Driving License.
• You must be within 1 hour commuting distance of Marine Base, Liverpool.
• Self-motivated, work on own initiative.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Carry out maintenance and repair of all engineering, electrical and hull systems and equipment on pilot boats, gig boats, oil spill response vessels and survey boats.
• Undertake scheduled maintenance activities in line with the planned maintenance programme.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of mechanical and electrical spare parts inventory.
• Carry out fault finding.
• Carry out work in accordance with health and safety protocols.

Salary £32,000 - £35,000 DOE
