This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join one of the UK's leading food manufacturers at their modern, highly automated production facility in Leicester.
Following continued investment and business growth, they're expanding their established engineering team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be joining a well-organised maintenance department with strong planning processes, excellent engineering leadership and significant ongoing investment in both equipment and people.

Shift Pattern
- 4 on 4 off Days & Nights
- 06:30 - 18:30 / 18:30 - 06:30

- Salary c£59,000
- Quarterly Bonus (£1,200-£3,000 per year)

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the site's highly automated production equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across automated production machinery
- Diagnosing and fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems
- Recording maintenance activity using the CMMS system
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to increase reliability and reduce downtime
- Working closely with Production and Engineering colleagues to maximise plant performance
- Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and engineering compliance
About You
To succeed, you'll ideally have:
- Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or be time-served
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ONC or HNC in Engineering
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Previous experience within food manufacturing or another fast-paced manufacturing environment
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative engineering team
