Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Permanent Shifts: 2‑shift rotation - 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00
We are currently recruiting a skilled and proactive Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience gained within a heavy industrial environment.
You will support the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring full electrical and mechanical compliance across the site. This is a hands‑on role involving installations, maintenance, fault‑finding and ensuring both planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
The role operates on a 2‑shift rotation:
- 06:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 22:00
Responsibilities & Duties
- Work safely at all times in line with company safety standards and procedures, completing full risk assessments before undertaking any task
- Ensure all electrical and mechanical compliance requirements are maintained
- Respond to breakdowns and faults in a timely, logical and effective manner
- Carry out planned, preventive and reactive maintenance activities
- Undertake electrical installation work as required
- Use appropriate systems and data to manage electrical and control systems
- Liaise with and support the management of third‑party contractors
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the business
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical maintenance
- Proven mechanical and electrical maintenance experience within a heavy industrial environment
- Knowledge of plant control systems, PLCs and automation (preferred)
- Strong mechanical fault‑finding ability
- Enthusiastic, proactive and computer literate
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
