Maintenance Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy engineering department within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll help keep production and site equipment operating reliably through planned maintenance, effective fault-finding and a rapid response to breakdowns.
What you'll be doing
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production and site equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete effective repairs.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
- Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Support continuous improvement projects across the manufacturing site.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS.
- Ensure all work complies with site health, safety and engineering procedures.
- Identify recurring faults and recommend long-term improvements.
- A time-served engineer with a minimum Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance capabilities.
- Previous engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an engineering team.
- PLC fault-finding and interrogation experience would be advantageous.
- Experience within FMCG manufacturing would be beneficial.
You'll work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, rotating between:
- 6:00am-6:00pm
- 6:00pm-6:00am
