Maintenance Engineer in Bristol, Gloucestershire

Our client is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Multi-Skilled Facilities Engineer to support client sites throughout the South West of England and South Wales. Based in Bristol or Bath, the successful candidate will work across a diverse range of commercial and retail environments, providing maintenance, repair and refurbishment services.

The role offers significant autonomy and is ideally suited to an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, taking ownership of maintenance issues and delivering a high-quality service to clients across a broad geographical area.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive maintenance services across the South West and South Wales.
• Carry out building fabric repairs, alterations and installations.
• Complete plumbing repairs and minor installation works.
• Undertake basic electrical maintenance tasks.
• Carry out carpentry, decorating and finishing works.
• Conduct site inspections and condition assessments.
• Support refurbishment, fit-out and small project activities.
• Ensure client sites remain safe, compliant and operational.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and service records.
• Develop strong relationships with client stakeholders and site teams.

Essential Experience

• Facilities maintenance or building fabric maintenance experience.
• Multi-trade maintenance capability.
• Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Experience operating independently across multiple client locations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Building Services or Facilities qualification.
• IPAF, PASMA and CSCS.
• 18th Edition qualification.
• Joinery, carpentry or refurbishment experience.
• Experience within retail, hospitality or logistics sectors.
