Our client is a very successful recycling business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineering Manager.
Salary £60K - £65K Neg + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced multi-skilled engineer (with strong electrical and mechanical engineering skills to manage & control all maintenance activities at a large heavy industry processing plant near Selby.
The Role:
The Maintenance Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing all planned & reactive maintenance activities and some commissioning & CAPEX project work.
Your duties will include but is not limited to the following;
- Develop, implement and maintain PPM system
- Management & control of a small team of maintenance engineers and also external contractors
- Plan, manage and control all maintenance activities and engineering projects
- Monitoring, sourcing and ordering spare and replacement parts
- Ensure adequate staff training, recruitment and disciplinary needs are met
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach and help to deliver efficiency and cost savings where possible
- Ensure compliance with all legal and HSE requirements
- Provide "Hands-on" assistance with electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance and repair of plant and machinery.
Candidate:
You will be a confident maintenance engineer with excellent and mechanical electrical maintenance engineer with supervisory or management experience.
Candidates will have previous experience in the heavy industry, manufacturing or industrial sector e.g. chemical plants, plastics, metals, foundry, quarry or recycling.
You will have at least 5 years management /supervisory experience and you must me confident in leading a small team of engineers and external contractors.
You will hold recognised electrical engineering qualification and ideally you will be trained in health & safety management to IOSH or NEBOSH level.
You will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering e.g. HNC, degree or 18th edition certification and you will have good knowledge and understanding of plc systems.
We are seeking a highly organised and effective leader who will deliver a "hands-on" maintenance manager role.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will be proficient with CMMS and applicants with knowledge of SAP software would be be beneficial.
