Salary: Up to £42,440 following successful completion of probation.
Location and Working Pattern
Glasgow – on-site. Candidates should be flexible, including the ability to work on-call or out-of-hours, with a current rota requiring one weekend in five.

Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repair work on a broad range of mechanical equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify issues to prevent breakdowns.
- Assist with assembly and installation of new machinery.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment details.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve department objectives.
- Comply with company safety policies, including hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical craft engineering.
- HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 4–5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance fitter or technician role following apprenticeship completion.
- Ability to use mechanical tools and equipment with confidence, including working on hydraulic systems and high-speed rotating machinery.
- Skilled at interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documents.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance systems and processes.
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
- Flexibility to work on-call and outside of normal hours when required.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Additional technical certifications relevant to mechanical engineering.
