Joiner (Multi-Skilled)

About the Role

My client is looking for a skilled Joiner to join their Repairs Team. You’ll carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance work in council homes and buildings, helping us deliver a high-quality service to our residents.

You’ll work closely with team leaders and other trades to ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out joinery repairs, maintenance, and upgrades
• Complete work in both occupied and empty properties
• Work across other trades when needed (multi-skilled role)
• Ensure all work is completed on time and to a high standard
• Communicate clearly with tenants and provide excellent customer service
• Follow all health and safety guidelines
• Keep accurate records using a PDA or device
• Maintain tools, equipment, and your work vehicle
• Support emergency/out-of-hours repairs when required
• Work with other trades to complete jobs efficiently

What they are Looking For

Essential

• NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds in Joinery (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in carpentry and joinery
• Ability to carry out a wide range of repairs independently
• Good understanding of health & safety practices
• Strong customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to use handheld devices (PDAs)

Desirable

• Multi-skilled in other trades (e.g. tiling)
• Experience in social housing or repairs services
• Knowledge of building regulations
• IT/computer skills
• Experience working at heights

Additional Information
