The Role

As Maintenance Manager / Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, developing and mentoring the on-site maintenance and engineering team.
  • Creating a positive culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Acting as the main customer contact, developing strong working relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Delivering agreed KPIs for system availability, engineering performance, quality and cost.
  • Developing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to maximise equipment reliability.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
  • Managing maintenance budgets, engineering resources and operational priorities.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and engineering standards.
  • Monitoring engineering performance through CMMS systems, reporting and performance analysis.

Role Requirements

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager / Engineering Manager with a strong technical background and proven leadership experience within a highly automated engineering environment.

You'll ideally possess:

  • Ideally Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience within maintenance, engineering or technical services, including a minimum of three years in a management role.
  • Experience within automated logistics, warehousing, material handling, manufacturing, FMCG or other complex engineering environments.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, reliability engineering and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Experience managing engineering teams, budgets, KPIs and customer relationships.
  • Good commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • A strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
