Maintenance Mechanic / Engineer - Factory, Inverness

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and pre-emptive servicing on packing plant and production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime across the production process.
• Maintain and support key production components including conveyors, rollers, shafts and bearings.
• Inspect equipment regularly and identify wear, damage or potential failure points before breakdowns occur.
• Support safe working practices and follow site procedures during maintenance activities.
• Work effectively with production teams to schedule maintenance around operational needs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and any relevant inspections.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting practical ways to enhance reliability and performance.

• Experience maintaining packing plant and production equipment in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Strong focus on preventative and pre-emptive maintenance principles.
• Practical mechanical knowledge and fault-finding experience.
• Experience with conveyors, rollers, shafts and bearings (beneficial).
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering information such as maintenance instructions and equipment documentation.
• Good understanding of safe systems of work and safe isolation practices during maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues early.
• Willingness to work part-time or full-time - role can be flexible.
