Position: Maintenance Operative
Location: Newcastle
Working Pattern: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm)

Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in the upkeep of our stunning student accommodation scheme. Your responsibilities will include:


Performing day-to-day reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.
Conducting planned maintenance activities, including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks, and water hygiene monitoring.
Carrying out regular building patrols to identify maintenance needs and health & safety risks.
Completing scheduled flat inspections and addressing any identified issues promptly.
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, including gas safety inspections and PAT testing.
Ensuring all property documentation files are up-to-date and compliant.
Adhering to health and safety policies, including managing risk assessments and method statements.
Engaging with students to understand and address their needs.

Key Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have:


A relevant qualification in plumbing, joinery, or electrical systems (preferred).
Previous experience in domestic electrical/plumbing/general maintenance.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ability to prioritise your own workload effectively.
A willingness to work collaboratively with the team, including covering reception and admin duties.
