Maintenance Operative

Location: Prime Residential Estate, North West London
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time

Be the Face of a Prestigious Residential Estate

We're recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading property brands for a Maintenance Operative to join a prestigious residential estate in North West London.

This is far more than a traditional maintenance role. You'll be the day-to-day face of the estate, building strong relationships with residents, liaising with the client and ensuring the development is maintained to an exceptional standard.

If you're hands-on, take pride in your work and enjoy dealing with people just as much as carrying out repairs, this could be the perfect opportunity.

The Role

No two days are the same. You'll combine practical maintenance duties with resident engagement, contractor coordination and estate operations to help deliver an outstanding living environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance and decorating across the estate.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for residents with maintenance-related queries.

  • Coordinating specialist contractors and overseeing works on site.

  • Completing regular inspections of communal areas and vacant properties.

  • Conducting routine health & safety, fire safety and security checks.

  • Managing keys and contractor access.

  • Welcoming new residents and supporting move-ins where required.

  • Ensuring communal areas remain clean, safe and presented to a high standard.

  • Working closely with the client and wider property management team to ensure a first-class service is delivered.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a customer-facing environment and is happy taking ownership of day-to-day estate operations.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in a maintenance, facilities or property role.

  • Practical skills covering basic repairs, decorating and general building maintenance.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Confidence dealing with residents, contractors and clients professionally.

  • A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Good understanding of health & safety within residential or commercial buildings.

  • The ability to work independently while managing a varied workload.

What's on Offer

  • Join a leading property brand with an excellent reputation.

  • Work within a high-quality residential environment.

  • A varied role combining maintenance, customer service and estate operations.

  • Opportunity to develop your career within residential property and facilities management.

  • Competitive salary and supportive team environment.

If you're looking for a role where you can combine hands-on maintenance with exceptional customer service and become a key part of a thriving residential community, we'd love to hear from you.
