Jackson Hogg is supporting a leading provider of accommodation, welfare and plant hire solutions in the search for a Workshop Technician to join its Nottingham depot.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual with experience in maintenance, refurbishment, painting, joinery or general workshop activities to join a well-established business offering long-term stability and career development.
The Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining, refurbishing and preparing accommodation units, welfare vans, vehicles and plant equipment to a high standard, ensuring assets are ready for customer use.
Key duties include:
- Carrying out maintenance and refurbishment work on accommodation units, welfare vans and vehicles
- Completing minor joinery and repair work across the depot
- Preparing and painting accommodation units, plant equipment and vehicles
- Identifying and recording customer damage, ensuring repair documentation is completed accurately
- Cleaning accommodation units and preparing furniture prior to dispatch
- Supporting the movement, loading and unloading of equipment around the depot
- Liaising with the stores team to ensure adequate stock levels of materials and consumables
- Collecting and delivering equipment to customer sites and suppliers when required
- Maintaining paint shop records and activity reports
- Ensuring all tools, spray equipment and workshop facilities are maintained and stored correctly
What We're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in:
- Workshop, depot or maintenance environments
- Joinery, refurbishment, painting or decorating
- Plant, construction or hire industry operations
- Vehicle maintenance or preparation work
- General practical maintenance and repair activities
You'll also need:
- A proactive approach and strong work ethic
- Good attention to detail
- A commitment to health and safety
- A full UK driving licence
A forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
