JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting company in Billingham to recruit an experienced Maintenance Supervisor. This role sits within a heavy industrial environment and will focus on leading maintenance operations across electrical, mechanical and automation systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving plant reliability, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring all maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with production requirements. This is a hands-on leadership position, working closely with the Engineering Manager to plan workloads, support engineering teams, and develop maintenance strategies across multiple sites.

The Successful Maintenance Supervisor - Package:

• Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
• Shift Pattern: 7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm

The Successful Maintenance Supervisor - Requirements:

• Minimum HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Degree preferred)
• At least 5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment
• Proven supervisory experience leading maintenance or engineering teams
• Strong PLC/SCADA/HMI/Drives knowledge (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley RS Logix, Compact Logix 5000 & 500, Mitsubishi processors)
• Ability to fault find, repair, commission and program industrial control systems
• Experience with AC/DC drives, VFDs and closed-loop control systems
• Understanding of vibration and temperature monitoring systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and process control diagrams
• Experience supervising planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance activities
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance within engineering environments
• Competent user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and CMM systems (Synchro)
• Experience coordinating contractors and internal engineering teams
• Strong communication skills and ability to report on maintenance KPIs and performance data
• Experience supporting continuous improvement and engineering optimisation projects
