Maintenance Technician – Electrical or Mechanical Bias (Alternating Shifts)

DENSO Marston Ltd, based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, is part of the global DENSO Corporation, a world leader in advanced automotive technology. We manufacture high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules for OEMs across the off-highway, construction and agricultural sectors.
We're seeking a Maintenance Technician with either an Electrical or Mechanical bias to support our production operation. Working across a varied range of manufacturing equipment, you'll diagnose faults, complete planned maintenance and help improve machinery reliability within a busy manufacturing environment.
Working Hours & Benefits
Alternating Shifts
Week 1
  • Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Friday: 6:00am – 11:00am
Week 2
  • Monday – Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Friday: 11:00am – 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, fault-find and repair manufacturing equipment
  • Respond to production breakdowns safely and effectively
  • Complete preventative maintenance and equipment improvements
  • Interpret electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings
  • Work across both legacy and modern manufacturing machinery
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote high standards of safety and housekeeping
Essential Experience & Qualifications
  • Time served engineering apprenticeship
  • Minimum ONC, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent
  • At least two years' manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
  • PLC fault-finding experience
  • Experience maintaining production machinery
  • Root cause analysis and reliability improvement experience
  • Able to work independently or within a team
Required Skills
  • Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills
  • Logical approach to troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Safe systems of work and isolation procedures
  • Good communication and organisational skills
