Maintenance Technician

Our client is seeking a temporary Maintenance Operative to support day‑to‑day upkeep across a busy Liverpool City Centre site. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical ability, a reliable work ethic, and confidence completing general building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- General maintenance - Carry out routine upkeep and basic repair work across the building.
- Basic repairs - Replace light fittings, change taps, and complete minor plumbing tasks.
- Site cleanliness -Ensure all work areas remain clean, tidy, and safe.
- Manual handling - Assist with moving furniture and materials, including chairs, mattresses, and sofas, working alongside the onsite MT.
- Issue reporting - Identify and report maintenance concerns promptly to the relevant team members.
- Health & safety compliance - Follow all site procedures and safety guidelines.
- Compliance checks - Support with fire door inspections, emergency lighting (EML) testing, and other routine compliance tasks where experience allows.
- Team support - Assist the wider team with general site duties as required.
- Maintenance experience - Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a similar role is desirable.
- Practical skills-Strong hands‑on ability with good attention to detail.
- Teamwork - Able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Reliability - Punctual, dependable, and proactive.
- Communication - Clear and confident communication.
- Procedural awareness — Ability to follow instructions and adhere to company processes.
- Fire door checks
- Emergency lighting (EML) testing
- General compliance inspections
