Shift Pattern: Double Days Rotation (Early/Late)
Salary: Competitive + Shift Allowance
The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimised. You will respond to machine breakdowns, carry out logical fault-finding, and support continuous improvement activities to maximise line performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis.
- Perform mechanical and basic electrical repairs to minimise downtime.
- Monitor production line performance and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with production teams to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.
- Support engineering improvement projects and machine modifications.
- Investigate recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain engineering standards, procedures and documentation.
Requirements
Essential
- ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
- GCSE Maths and English.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or manufacturing engineering role.
Desirable
- Mechanical and/or electrical qualifications.
- Experience within FMCG or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Basic electrical fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of vacuum systems.
