Management Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract for an immediate start.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Management Accountant who is comfortable working across month-end, management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and providing financial insight to the wider business.

As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing accurate monthly management accounts and supporting month-end close.
• Producing P&L and balance sheet reporting, with commentary on key variances.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Providing analysis and insight to help the business understand financial performance.
• Working closely with budget holders and non-finance stakeholders.
• Supporting year-end processes, audit requirements and wider finance projects.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Ideally, be CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified, part-qualified, actively studying, or qualified by experience (QBE).
• Strong month-end and management accounts experience.
• Good understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
• Ideally, a recognised accountancy qualification or be qualified by experience.
