Our client is a growing organisation in Sutton-in-Ashfield who are looking to add a Management Accountant (Qualified, QBE or Part Qualified) to their team.

This role entails EU Trading and is essential experience for this Management Accountant position.

Description

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Monitor budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring optimal allocation of financial resources.
  • Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior finance team members as needed.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant (Senior) should have:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or be QBE or Part Qualified (actively studying)
  • Experience with EU Trading.
  • Understand EU Tax regulations.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with experience in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • A proactive and organised approach to meeting deadlines.

Job Offer

  • A salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Study support if required.
  • Permanent position based in Sutton in Ashfield.
