Management Accountant

About the Company

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded theatre production company, with shows currently running in London's West End. They are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a creative and fast-paced industry, supporting the financial operations behind some of the West End's biggest productions.

The Role

As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the finance function, producing accurate management information and supporting commercial decision-making across the business. You'll work closely with senior finance and production stakeholders, gaining exposure to the unique financial workings of the theatre and entertainment industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts
• Producing budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
• Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting production teams with financial reporting on individual shows
• Assisting with cash flow reporting and forecasting
• Liaising with auditors and supporting the year-end audit process
• Identifying process improvements within the finance function

About You

• CIMA qualified, or equivalent (ACCA/ACA), is ideal — part-qualified candidates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply
• Previous experience in a management accounting role
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Experience in the entertainment, media or creative industries would be an advantage, but is not essential
