Function: Executive Leadership – Commercial & Operations
Tack TMI is looking for a commercial and people-focused leader to grow our UK Learning & Development business and ensure our delivery is high quality, compliant and always inspection-ready.
As Managing Director, you will:
Own and deliver the UK growth strategy, sales plan and financial targets.
Lead business development and key client relationships, including C-level engagement and large-scale opportunities.
Drive operational excellence across design and delivery, ensuring strong governance, quality and compliance.
Build, lead and develop high-performing teams; set clear goals, coach performance and deliver KPIs.
Maintain robust reporting, forecasting and inspection readiness.
People leadership and culture
Lead and develop the senior leadership team, setting clear objectives and performance expectations.
Cultivate an inclusive, accountable and development‑focused culture that attracts and retains top talent.
Ensure succession planning and capability development across critical roles.
Operational excellence and client delivery
Ensure operational processes, technology and service delivery meet client expectations and support scalable growth.
Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and quality in operations and customer experience.
Lead major client relationships and complex commercial negotiations where required.
Governance and stakeholder engagement
Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and Group governance requirements.
Provide regular reporting and insight to the Group Executive and Board, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Act as an ambassador for the business externally, enhancing the organisation’s reputation in the market.
What we’re looking for
Extensive senior leadership experience, including responsibility for P&L and multi‑disciplinary teams.
Proven track record of driving commercial growth and margin improvement in service‑led businesses (staffing, learning, HR services or related sectors preferred).
Experience operating in matrix or multi‑brand organisations, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies.
Strong operational and financial acumen, with experience of budgeting, forecasting and KPI‑driven management.
Excellent people leadership skills, with a track record of building inclusive, high‑performing teams and developing senior talent.
Outstanding communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with Board‑level and client executives.
