About the Role

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects, primarily throughout the west of Scotland, while also overseeing Defence Sector projects delivered across the UK.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and developing a commercial team of approximately 6 to 8 Quantity Surveyors.
• Providing commercial oversight from pre-construction through to final account.
• Ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining contractual compliance.
• Supporting project teams with commercial advice and risk management.
• Reviewing valuations, variations, cost reporting and forecasting.
• Monitoring project performance and identifying opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.
• Working closely with operational teams to achieve programme and financial objectives.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Supporting the development and mentoring of junior and intermediate commercial staff.
• Contributing to business planning and the successful delivery of annual commercial targets.
